NBI is able to offer consultation and treatment by telehealth, as appropriate. Certain assessments may even be possible to conduct via telehealth as well. Some people live in areas where specialized services such as those provided by NBI are difficult to access. The level of telehealth care services necessary is determined on a case-by-case basis and can vary from periodic check-ins to more intensive work.
Reasons for conducting psychological services by telehealth include:
Many NBI clinicians have received Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology through PSYPACT in participating States. NBI reserves the right to assess when telehealth is appropriate or if it should be discontinued.
Providing health services through the use of technology such as videoconferencing is known as telehealth. In many cases, telehealth may be applicable to psychotherapeutic services, including individual, parent and family therapy.
It’s easy. Just call, email, or fill out our contact form here. Our helpful office staff are available to provide you with all the information you need to use teleconferencing securely and effectively, as well as to answer all of your questions.
The teleconference platforms used by NBI are HIPAA compliant so that your privacy and security are protected.
It is your responsibility to speak with your insurance provider about whether you will be reimbursed for teletherapy costs, and at what level, as with any other services provided by NBI. Upon request, our office can provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company. We strongly encourage you to fully determine your coverage prior to receiving any teletherapy services so that you are fully informed regarding potential out-of-pocket costs.
